Cleaning baby/toddler hands during the day?

What do other people do? I always wipe DS's hands and face with a clean flannel after eating, but I've realised I don't wipe them before he eats and I possibly/probably should.

I imagine at the back of my mind is the idea that he needs to be exposed to germs, but given that I seem to wash my hands endlessly and don't touch half as much mank as DS does, maybe I need to rethink this. If so, should I get some antibacterial gel/wipes or will a wet wipe do (we use water wipes so they wouldn't really do much)..?

We wipe before and after earlier eating and if I see him touch something gross.
Despite being a little bit of a clean freak, I weirdly don't get too het up about hand germs.

We wash hands in the sink before eating and use wipes after eating.

Washing hands in the sink would be funand realistically the best way of cleaning thembut might have to wait til DS is a little older.

I use (when I remember) a flannel and water to clean my baby's hands before eating, then use the same flannel to clean up afterwards. Occasionally I add a bit of soap.

I wash DD's hands when she comes in from outdoors, and after eating. I don't bother before eating (unless I'd forgotten when she came in from outdoors).
