Yeap, my MIL has curly arteries, but it took her years and years and sophisticated technology to get this diagnosis and meanwhile she spent three years being treated like a hypochondriac and having to see a psychologist, with her entire family writing her off as an attention seeker.

My mother used to say that only women are ever told they have psychosomatic illnesses, I'm not certain but maybe she is right.
