help on formula feeding on car journey

So I was going to sterilise a bottle before leaving for a 6 hour journey, then feed my 4 month formula old using this bottle three hours later in the car (the formula is from ready to feed bottle). Is this cool? How do you other formula feeders do it? I have been breast feeding up until now.

Thank you so much

Yes it's fine. Sterilise bottle put lid on use when required, using a ready to feed bottle, they used to be cartons but I know what you mean. It doesn't need to be heated up and the sterilised bottle will be fine.

Take a flask of boiled cooled/ lukewarm water in a flask with a section dispenser of formula. Make up the feed when it's needed. Simples.

( a Section dispenser is a little formula powder container divided into 3 sections into each section you scoop the required no of scoops of powder) can buy them in supermarkets about a £5

123 this method isn't recommended as formula milk isn't sterile. Therefore the water needs to be a certain temperature to kill the potential bugs in the milk.

OP using a ready to feed bottle with a pre sterilised bottle is absolutely fine.

I'm aware of that thanks. The water in the flask is from a recently boiled kettle and stays at that temp as it's in the flask - ignore lukewarm in my initial post

Make up the formula bottle, without filling it. Take a flask of boiled water, and top up to the required level, with hot water, when needed.

Sorry 123, it was the lukewarm that confused me.

For long car journey I've also bought a large pre prepared bottle of ready made formula as easier
