What's your 1 year old playing with?

I'd like to get a toy for my goddaughter's 1st birthday, but am lacking inspiration. Not helped by the fact that she's a second child, so has plenty of handed on toys, but nothing really of her own. What's your 1 year old's favourite at the moment?

currently a massive cuddly dog but she also loves her bounce and spin zebra and her mamas and papas ride on snail! we have a small ball pool in the living room that she is always in and out of too if that helps

Clothes pegs, remote controls, his sister's skipping rope. I would go for a really nice book instead!

As pp said mostly not actual toys like the remote, phones, woods for the fire etc

But some toys like Colouring books and edible (not actual food but no harm done if eaten) crayons
Push along walking toys although he prefers the lawn mower as he is rather a heavy handed fellow!
Very basic building blocksq

She loves climbing in and out of her push-along fire engine. Books (although she can rip them to shreds), cuddly toys, hide-and-squeak egg box, plastic balls and stacking cups. We are just getting into crayons... God save the walls...

My son's 11 months and, when he's not turning the tv on and off, today he's been playing with wooden bricks, stacking cups, a bead maze, a ride-on zebra, a doll and Hide-and-squeak eggs. He also loves little ball pools but we haven't got the space Smile

Oh and a drum. He'd LOVE a drum but he just has to wait until baby group Wink

At one, dds favourites were a soft dolly, a plastic little tykes rocking horse and a tea set.

Toy cars. Or anything he can push along the floor like a toy car- Bumbo tray, packet of wipes, my phone.
