Why are you anti fabric?

I guess your on foam then?
Most seem to be interlocking, but there are a couple of larger ones.

anything there take your fancy?

Haha I'm not "anti fabric" just after a firm surface that doesn't move underneath my LO

My two are a good bit older than your LO (3 and 7) but I've just bought a gym mat (6 ft x 3ft approx though you can also get them in smaller sizes) which is well padded, doesn't move much (even when they are doing energetic forward rolls), is waterproof and wipes clean. It came via Amazon, cost about £50 (cheaper than a lot of the interlocking ones and is, I think, more durable and flexible too). Only drawback is that it doesn't fold/roll up for storage.
