8 week old DD keeps vomiting suddenly

I'm worried about DD. She has been a very hungry baby from birth and is now more than twice her birth weight (just under 4lb - she was born at 34 weeks). She was always eating a bit more than the recommended amount up to this week or was waking up hungry every 2 hours (on a premature milk formula). This week I can't get her to keep more than 4 or 5 feeds a day down - even though I started giving her the recommended amount in case it was too much for her (in that case why did she take it before?) It's a bit of a mystery - has anyone had this? It's more than a posset, a proper projectile vomit.

Some babies are very pukey and that's normal. At her peak, dd1 was puking (possetting doesn't do it justice)10 times a day! If she's projectile vomiting, however, and you start to see any weight loss you may want to check that she doesn't have pyloric stenosis.

My friends' baby had it and it was easily rectified with an operation. He recovered very quickly and had no further problems with feeding.

If you're at all worried, take her to the GP.

Could also be reflux. DS used to projectile vomit his feeds. I would see the GP.
