First day at University was great- really enjoyed it, but god, I did feel old, loadsof really young girls planning their outfits for a freshers meet up tonight!!

But it was great, and I felt so proud of myself as i walked around the campus, and looking at the course handbook- the access course has really set me up well.

Thanks everyone who wished me good luck x

Are you going to the freshers meet up? What you wearing?

tiredemma · 26/09/2006 18:22

well in a nutshell no! But I heard 4 young whippersnappers deciding whether to wear denim minis ( with compulsary 'freshers' tshirt) or shorts. I felt really really old ( and I am only 28!) im now sat at home, exhausted ready for round two tomorrow.

Today I really wished that I had done the Uni thing years ago as it looks so much fun for a young singleton!

Upsadaisy - Nursing

sally, there was 96 of us started - of those 96 approx 15 of us were over 22!! all the rest were youngsters, first time away from home- living in the halls.

They obviously all met up over the weekend moving into halls so they were all of in their own groups, but i found some people who had studied access at my college on the full time course and tagged along with them.

Loved it though, really really loved it.

First day abck today, and the Lecturer gave us ligt work - 2 hours of the authenticity of the ahadith (Muslim texts) followed by 2 hours of ethics, including a debate on the morals of a man who bought a chicken in the supermarket every week, took it home and shagged it.

Bizarre!

tiredemma · 26/09/2006 18:46

that man clearly has very loose morals peachy!

blimy- your course looks intense, dont ever let me moan on here about studying when you are on here!!!

OOO tiredemma were the other way round here theres only a handful of young whippersnappers and the rest of us are of the more experienced variety.
You'll have to get your denim mini on and show them how its done properly

Do you remember tucca boots? (sure thats what they were called)...they seem to be back with avengence.

Oh dear Peachy...I wish I was a fly on the wall for that debate. Was their a paticular reason why chickens?

PeachyClairHasBadHair · 26/09/2006 19:17

He said he found the chicken thing on the internet (this was preceded by ethics of someone who slept with theor infertile sister), I suggested he was more careful about the websites he frequented in the future LOL!
Trouble is, Professor is my bext dooe neighbour- next time he's unloading his Sainsburys bags i shall be peeking for evidence of cooking fowl LOL!
