Hi
I have been living abroad with my family for 2 years - my 12 and 9 year old have had a rocky road at school here - mainly to do with learning in Catalan - but the return to school this year has been particularly dreadful - my daughter is now entering her 2nd week of absence and my son decided he was panicking this morning and so he too hasn't gone in.
I feeling desperately guilty for having brought them here, though neither seems keen to return to the UK, and alternate between feeling very depressed and very angry about their refusal to go to school.

My daughter seems extremely anxious about being away from me, and I don't know how to help her develop some resilience in a challenging but known situation. I am hoping that my son's wobble this morning is a one off - but would welcome any suggestions at all. My husband has just gone back to the UK for a week so we are all feeling a little bereft ...
thanks Helen
