Just wondering as we need to buy for 19m DS for home and nursery & I don't know where to start as there are so many places!

My SIL said she bought great stuff from a company that lasted for 2 or all 3 of her boys so looking for something that is decent quality last but not cost the earth. Unfortunately she can't remember where she bought her boys stuff as it was so long ago.

Where do other parents go? Feel like there is a well kept secret out there that I need to discover!

Togz do a great onesie. Totally waterproof. We bought them for our eldest and DS2 has grown out of the smallest two they still look like new though. I think they're 35 quid new, lots to be had on Ebay though. I think it's best to go unlined. They have lots of clever velcro straps to shorten hoods etc. so if you're DS isn't tiny you could probably jump up to 2-3 and get lots of wear out of it.

No help here sorry, ours were hand me downs and the nursery provided all in one waterproofs.

Have you tried Jo Jo Amman bebe?

OwlCapone · 22/09/2014 10:50

I used to buy it from Muddy Puddles. It was fabulous stuff.

Get yourself to Lidl today - this is the week for their legendary fleece-lined waterproofs, which are brilliant:

Lidl or Aldi are great if they have one of their specials on.
And guess what, Lidl do right now www.lidl.co.uk/en/our-offers-2491.htm?id=388&ar=3

Cross post!

Muddy Puddles. My DC have worn their over trousers pretty much every day at school from nursery to Y3 and I have tried various other (cheaper) brands but they have got destroyed. The Muddy Puddles ones are the only ones which have lasted to be handed down.

stealthsquiggle · 22/09/2014 10:53

Having said that, at that price I wouldn't care if the Lidl ones wore out ShockGrin. What size do they go up to, does anyone know?

stealthsquiggle · 22/09/2014 10:55

Oh, just seen - 8yrs. No chance that will fit my huge almost 8yo Hmm.

Time to dig out the last pair of handmedown ones, then...

scandichick · 22/09/2014 11:02

Just checked Muddy Puddles, and they do 20% off until Sunday!

BlueChampagne · 22/09/2014 13:34

Muddy Puddles here too

Artandco · 22/09/2014 13:36

Polarn o pyret. They do come up large though so might want to measure as 12-18 months prob better size.

GoogleyEyes · 22/09/2014 13:45

Muddy Puddles second hand off eBay, but they do come up huge.

Kantha · 22/09/2014 13:49

Viking Kids (google it) for Didriksons waterproofs. The first set I bought for DS1 5 years ago is still doing well for DS2

hels71 · 22/09/2014 14:42

I came to say Lidl too!!

MangoBiscuit · 22/09/2014 14:46

DD1's adjustable waterproof trousers came from H&M 3 years ago, and they're still going strong. Just like these, except I snapped ours up in the sale for about £4!

Decathlon

Sizzlesthedog · 22/09/2014 16:22

Jojo maman bebe, best ever.

ConcreteElephant · 22/09/2014 18:00

Spotty Otter are good. Not cheap but they last really well. DD had hand me down dungies from her cousin - worn to death by both children, and they will still be good for DS.

We've also had JoJo before - also good.

ConcreteElephant · 22/09/2014 18:02

Ooh, Spotty Otter have a sale on right now - makes things a bit more reasonable :)

BikeRunSki · 22/09/2014 18:04

I have a blue and navy Togz all in one waterproof suit, age 2, which I was about to eBay if anyone is interested.

JiltedJohnsJulie · 22/09/2014 20:12

Slightly off topic, we have a Spotty Otter gilet. It's been brilliant and has a good resale value too.

StripyBanana · 22/09/2014 20:14

Camping shops near here all sell them - Go outdoors/ tresspass/etc and are good.

stargirl1701 · 22/09/2014 20:17

Togz or Polarn O Pyret.
