Did your DC2 get first teeth at a similar age to DC1?

Just wondered if there's often a pattern with teething within families?
My DD got first teeth at about 12 weeks & wondering if DS will follow with early teething as I believe it can be genetic.

All mine were late getting their first tooth.

DD1 first tooth came day before her first birthday (so very late) DD2 came at 4 months, can't remember exactly but 3rd DD WAS AROUND 6 months

All late teethers in my family but ds1 11m and ds2 16m! Ds1 is 8 next month and still hasn't lost a baby tooth.

Dd got her teeth extremely late (after 1), ds first teeth came through at 7 months.

Also dd has no issues at all whilst teething, whereas for a whole week before ds gets a tooth he is miserable with pain, diarrhoea, sleepless nights, runny nose, red cheeks and general grumpiness.

Both mine has first teeth at 16 weeks.
Both were late to lose their baby teeth too although DD was not quite as late as DS. After the first 8 were lost, DS had a gap of about 4 years before the next lot began to fall out, whereas DD had been more or less continuous.

Yes, all 3 DC were on the later end of average, around 8 months - DD only had 4 teeth when she started walking :o

Older 2 both on the later end of average losing them too - both after 7th birthday (DC2 turns 7 tomorrow and has his first wobbly one)

DS1 had one on the way through when he was born (made BF a little sore once discovered biting!), DS2 was about 6 months, DS3 was about 1 and was 6 by the time all of his first teeth were in properly He's nearly 14 now and lost his last baby tooth a couple of days ago. Still tried it on about the Tooth Fairy too!

Ds1 was nearly 2! Ds2 was7months

DC1 first tooth 14 months, finished teething not long after 3rd birthday. None of the teeth caused any problems and we were barely aware it was happening.

DC2 first tooth 7 months, finished teething 2yrs 9mth. Every tooth was a major drama with terrible nappies, hacking cough, eruption haematoma's (bruising and bleeding of the gums), sections of bleeding gums sticking out ahead of teeth coming etc.

Two very very different experiences. Glad it's all over ;-)

Yes, all four DC got there teeth at about 12-14 weeks.
