My eldest is 2 and I don't know many four year olds, but we're going to twins 4th birthday party at the weekend and I bought them each a Roald Dahl audio book on CDs for the car. I know they'd be too young to read the actual books, but thought an audiobook would be suitable, but now I'm thinking maybe they're too young for that too?

My ds is 4 and loves those particular CDs. But he also loves lego.... Which might have more of a wow factor when opening Grin

My DSs also loved the Roald Dahl CDs at that age.

I bought a set of all the Roald Dahl cd's when the dc were nearly 2 and nearly 5. Massive hit! I must have heard them all about 200 times now, 18 months later. We have them in the car, in bed ....

I'd love for someone to get those for my 4 yo (and she'd probably like them too).

I think I bought DD the set of CDs around that age - if it's just one story each they're getting then I'd say it does depend a bit which ones, some are fine for small kids but others are maybe left till a bit later (eg DD found The Witches quite scary)

Oh great - sounds like it'll be fine for them! Thanks all!
