If you were very Routine Led with DC1 were DC2 also good at getting into a routine too?

Dc1 happily went into a routine from coming home from hospital. Im not foolish enough to think that ot was anything other than her simply happening to settle into the routine we chose, rather than us havig anything to do with it.

Am expecting dc2 (within the next month) amd whilst I am aware I will have to fit a routine around DDs existing avtities and needs, id still like to do the bath/bottle/bed at seven thing and have set awake and feed times just like we had with dd.

Only i think its all luck Grin

Anyone had a DC2 and beyond who were just as happy in a routine as their first?

My dc2 was just as good, maybe better as she had to be to get son to school.

Dc1,2 and 3 all the same and went into a routine quite quickly the only difference was I wasn't as stressed if it all went wrong withdc2 and 3. Whereas with dc1 I would panic, the one thing I stuck to was lunch time nap at home in the cot. I know this isn't for everyone and can be a bit restrictive but worked well for me. I'm 36 weeks pregnant with dc4 and hoping they will fit in just as well! :)

My second got into the same routine as my first - we did strongly encourage it though. I've got 11 months between mine so could have them on a similar schedule for some things, like a lunchtime nap together so I could have a break, and as he got older their routines were the same. It is possible, but DS wasn't an easy going baby so we persisted, as I was determined he would learn to sleep Grin
