So my dh is away for a few days and it's me and my dd 20 months. She's been very cranky cos she's missing him I think I haven't seen an adult since he went just been me and her . It all started when I thought going out for dinner was a good idea she started crying for my chips and her food . Both was hot so couldn't get either . Then on the bus back home she started haveing a meltdown . When we got home I had to deal with a few stressful things not to do with her but its about 7 now time for her bedtime bottle she screamed and screamed in til I got it and I snapped at her telling her she has to wait then cryed . I always promised I wouldn't do that cigs my mother did that throughout my childhood . Can someone make me feel better been a hard day :(

Don't be too hard on yourself it's tough on your own. My DH works away for long periods of time so I know how you feel. Just think of all the good, positive things this us just one night. Everybody gets a bit angry and stressed at times. Tomorrow is another day. Hope you feel better Smile

of course - anyone who says they've never done something similar is lying! start over, lots of hugs all round. Hope today has gone better xxx

Don't beat yourself up! Sometimes we all just get a bit snappy after a long day, my dd is 19 months and I have snapped at her a couple of nights ago because she just wouldn't go to sleep Sad
Could you meet up with a friend tomorrow maybe and just try and enjoy a more relaxed day? I rarely take dd out for meals any more because I find it really stressful but she always loves a trip to the park etc
