wasn't sure where to post this one...
dd2 is nearly 3 and drinks heaps of milk, always has.. i water it down during the day so it's mostly water...
the soft spout beaker she drinks it from is more of a comforter and she has it in the night, with just water in.
I've told her when she is 3 that she can only have milk before bedtime and on waking, same as her 5 year old sister still does. do I go cold turkey and trhow away her fav. beaker and stop her having her comforter? It has to go everywhere a thte mo... in the car, to nursery...

Could Christmas be a good time to say goodbye to the beaker? i.e. if your DD leaves it under the tree for Father Christmas to collect to send to a little baby who really needs it (or insert your version / excuse)
The other option is like the one on House of Tiny Tearaways where they tied the beaker to a hellium balloon and let it go "bye bye beaker, I'm a big girl now, don't need you anymore" etc etc.Let her choose the balloon with you so DD's part of the whole thing and hopefully won't see it as mummy being meany!
Good Luck.x
