Hi,
Yesterday there was an incident at my son's school, where my son bit one of the boys in his class. One of the teachers called me before I was due to pick my son up, in case she didn't catch me after school.
When we got home I asked my son what had happened leading up to him biting another child, he had told me the boy had tried snatching something of him and the boy put his fingers near my son's mouth and the boy's friend pushed the boy and my son accidently bit him, I wasn't convinced this was the truth so, this morning I asked the boy what had happened and he told me, my son was whipping people with what he had found and the boy tried taking it of him, my son then bit his finger, so my son has lied to me about the incident.
I feel completely ashamed of his behaviour and embarrassed, he's eight years old and should know that biting is not acceptable behaviour, he has also lied to me about the incident, I am feeling dreadful and upset over the whole incident, to the point I didn't sleep last night.
He also can be immature with his behaviour, this morning he was swinging my husbands dressing robe belt around and swinging the belt in my youngest sons face and also he kept pretending to punch my youngest son in the face.
My two children do fight a lot too, which often turns physical.
I am on my own a lot of the time, I don't really know how to handle these situations in the best way, any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Apart from that my son is a pleasant, kind boy.
TIA
