I want more Inner Calm...

'Inner Calm' - I want more in my life as a busy often stressed Mum. Do the words Inner Calm speak to you? Do you get what that means?

I wouldn't say those words 'speak to me' but I get the sentiment.

Nothing could have prepared me for how stressful being a parent is... And with sleep deprevation im irritable, shouty and an emotional wreck at times! (usually with DH but I worry about becoming a shouty mum as DS gets older).

I wouldn't use the term 'inner calm' but I am trying to focus on my own well being by eating better, trying not to stress over small things and things I can't control and taking at least an hour a week just for me.

Never mind more inner calm, I would like some.

If you can escape and do an hour of pilates, the breathing + exercise you're trying to master focusses your mind away. I do circuit training which also takes my mind away and gives me an hour out of the house after DH is back.
