I've been doing a lot of research into the whole reusable nappy thing and consulted with the nappy lady www.thenappylady.co.uk. With their advice I have plumped for the tots bots with the motherease wraps. then I heard about the bamboozles and asked the nappy lady about them she advised a white or unbleached tots bots with a booster would be more absorbant than a bamboozle and would take much less time to dry. I have found their service to be excellent and having done lots of my own research they really clarified things for me. You can fill in a questionnaire about your lifestyle how you wash and dry your nappies, childcare arrangements etc and they will give you tailored advice on what they think would be best for you and your child. You can then go back and ask millions of questions all with no obligation to buy but if you do after receiving advice you get money off. I can not praise their service and knowledge enough.

I have found the bamboozles to be the most absorbant nappy I've tried and my son is a very heavy wetter. He can easily go 5 -6 hours during the day between changes other nappies struggle to cope after 2. The bamboozles are also incredibly slim and normal clothes fit him easily when he wears them. The only downside is that they do take longer to dry than any of the other tots, but I highly reccomend them.

I have just recently converted to reusable nappies for my 1 year old and in my opinion any bamboo nappy is not more absorbant than a tots bots rainbow nippa.
I have tried every single nappy made (well almost, via a nappy trial with babykind))and lots of bamboo (bamboozles, wham-bamboo- clwt twt, nappy nation) and I have found the rainbow bots best as they can last my daughter 5 hours in the day (if need be) and do not take as long to dry as bamboo. And if you use nippa's they are slim. But- one piece of advice someone gave me at the beginning of my search- don't worry too much about slimness!! Rainbow are def slimmer than the origianl tots- I use the origianl for nights with a booster.
Also- another thing about bamboo IMO is that they 'feel' 'wetter' when I change them than the rainbow- not sure why.
RE motherease- if you are referring to MEO, I originally liked them but found absorbency to be a huge issue, I didn't want to boost in the day, so decided against them!!
Hope this helps- have rambled a bit!!

The nappy lady said that white or unbleached was more absorbant????

Oh, just read that boostered they are... yes, they are, but then they are much more bulky.

You have a toss up really... bamboo nappies are slimmer and more absorbant, but they take an age to dry. Normal tots are very bulky, and not quite as absorbant, but dry faster. Rainbow tots - somewhere in between normal and bamboo, and dry slightly faster than them both.

Motherease... MEOs are the only ones I've tried... not as absorbant as any of them.

Motherease are easily less absorbant than tots. Tots outstrip them anyday!!

I've found the rainbow tots fine for daytime - they last about 4 hours. The bamboozle lasts overnight, or a white/unbleached tots bots with booster. The bamboozles are gorgeous nappies, and the lady I bought mine from said she had stopped stocking the white/unbleached tots bots as she felt the bamboozle was a far better nappy. They are gorgeous and soft, and very slim fitting.

My experience is that Tots Bots are by far the most absorbent. Motherease one-size are a great daytime nappy but I prefer Tots for night-time. If I use Meos at night then I put an extra terry booster in.

I use Totsbots, Bamboozle and Fluffle (not all at once)at night boosted with microfibre and non of 'em EVER leak. Use prefolds in the day.
Not sure this is of any help at all but was just feeling in need of some nappy chat.

Wills.
I had a very tight lipped conversation with a woman at a party last night who had given up on cloth 'because they didn't dry, even in the drier'(?). Mind you then I was able to be very smug when she was saying that her 3 year old had just potty trained and I mentioned that DD1 was dry at 18 months!
BTW the best thing about bamboo is that they never feel crispy, just lovely and soft....
