What should DD write on funeral card.

I know this sounds silly, but I am Jewish so we don't have flowers at times of death. DH's grandfather has died and I have helped her choose a posy for the funeral but I don't know what sort of thing she should write on the card which goes with the posy. Is it just her name, a message to him, or what she thought of him? Or maybe it doesn't matter. She is 7. Thank you.

A little message is usual :) something like
'Always in my heart, miss you granddad, lots of love coconutsDD' would be fine. If it helps I find them hard to write sand we always send flowers! It's not easy by any chalk, but short and sweet is best (and fits on the card better).

I'm sorry for your loss xxx

Can't go wrong with a simple 'I love you and always will x'

Agree sibling basically short and sweet, sentimental is allowed. Usually after the service, the flowers are taken to either the grave or the garden of remembrance (for cremations) and everyone will look at the flowers, make small talk about the service and flowers, read the cards and then drift off towards the wake. It's kind of nice to read the cards, I find it comforting. But don't worry too much, I've even just put 'lots of love Dana' on them before. It's a very personal thing xxx

Well mine made a very cheerful card with HAPPY DAYS!! across the front. She thought it would be nice to cheer Granny up. And it did. Granny laughed and laughed, and showed it to everyone.
