How many times a day does your 7.5 month old poo?

Hello

Just that really. My ds2 is currently producing around four dirty nappies a day. Seems excessive to me, so wondering how often other 7-8 month olds poo?

Dd used to be on 1 poo a day from 4-6 months
And 3 - 4 poos when she hit 7months and she's 8 months now but still doing 3-4 poos a day!

So yours sounds normal. I noticed the change when she was on 3 meals a day and eating more solids.

At 10 months, DS does around 3 on an average day, with anything between 0-6 in the normal range (though it does tend toward the upper rather than lower end of the range), and it's been like that for several months now, so it sounds fairly normal to me.

Happy nappy changing Wink

I think at that age their digestive system is very much still adjusting to solids, not that efficient at extracting nutrition yet, so more poos would make sense IYSWIM? Four doesn't sound excessive to me although it doesn't half get through the wet wipes I know! Smile

Sounds normal then - thanks for the reassurance everyone. I was just a bit concerned that he pooed after every meal. I guess it makes sense now, that the frequency of his poos increased when he went on to 3 meals a day.

Funny how dc1 is only 3.7 but I'd completely forgotten how many nappies babies get through!
