Hello - my 1st post so apologies if not in right place! My DD is having a few friends round for her 9th bday party, for a sleepover. To minimise my stress am trying to make sure that have planned as much as can...! they would love to watch so e kind of romantic/ chick flick type love story but I can't think of what would be suitable for a group of 9 yr old girls ? V don't want anything controversial - does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks so much!

Mama Mia?

There's a few websites that 'review' films to and tell you if they are suitable or not.

My dd watched 'inkheart' (I think it was called) at a 11 year old sleepover this weekend. She loved it.

My 8.5 yo dsd loves legally blonde and the sequel - we had a fab dvd night last week with them.

or what about the step up movies?

Stardust is a favourite of our favourite for a girl night it's romantic, exciting and funny. It's rated a PG and has a slight 'scary' bit near the end however my 7yr old niece didn't seem very scared by it not like nightmare on elm street scared more like nervous excitement that the bad guys might win.

Inkheart is also a good one.

A bit of an oldie, but has she seen Grease? I used to love that film as a kid, even though it was still quite an old one.

I bought my 8 year old sister the parent trap on DVD, she thinks it's the best film ever at the moment

Hi
Thanks very much for suggestions ! Also wondering about the princess diaries - sounds good but I haven't watched myself - is it suitable for a bunch of 9yr olds??

yes it is

I was going to say the Princess Diaries! I amused myself by seeing how many references to Pretty Woman I could spot! And how many actors gad been in both films!
