blueberry coverall wicking at legs

i have 3 blueberry coveralls which i bought because of all the great reviews and lovely designs. i used them with no problem for a couple of months but now all 3 have started wicking at the leg/gusset seams and wetting through babys clothes. i have had no trouble at all with motherease so must be a problem with these wraps but can't figure out how to solve it and it's driving me nuts. have tried washing them several times without detergent, tumble dried one on hot for 10 mins as suggesed on the internet and made sure they are fastened correctly and there are no gaps but no luck - the material around the legs always soaks through. any suggestions as i really did love these until recently

Do you have the popper fastening ones? I found loosening the lower poppers so there is actually a bit of give around the legs avoids the leg wicking problem. Haven't had any leaks.

I found that these only fitted my DS on and off until he potty trained depending on his growth spurts - I found motherease airflows much more reliable. Just checking though, the vests you're using aren't tight are they? I used to get wicking from DS's vests if he grew out of them!

No idea what was causing the leaking but I've rubbed some lanolin cream into the seams and it seems to have done the trick, no leaks last night and he slept for 9 hours!
