Hi I'm new to mn and would be grateful for some opinions. My ds1 is nearly 3 and I am having trouble with the potty. He knows how to use it but won't unless I ask him to at least every 20 mins or he is wet.He also seems to dribble constantly as his pants never seem to be dry.I gave up this morning as by lunch he had got through 7 lots of pants but I do want to keep going.Should I be worried or is dribbling common at first?

Ds1 (2.6) was potty trained this summer but it has taken a good month of super vigilance and putting everything else on hold. At first I used to remind him all the time and then I decided that it was defeating the object because he needed to know himself. So we kept a potty in whichever room we were in, draped the furniture with towels, got the stardops and cloths out and just went for it. At first he was like your ds but eventually he got the hang of knowing when and being able to hang on till he reached the potty. We had several poos in pants but only one on the carpet, thank God. In fact, it worked better when he went around with no pants on. Go to go, baby waking up. Hope this helps. Good luck and just keep trying.
