Can't make up my mind! Friends have invited me to join them tomorrow with my 9 week old DD. I love swimming and would like to get to know them better but it's at 9am which is when my LO has been going back to sleep for an hour's nap quite consistently recently, so would it just make her unhappy? Also she's done an absolutely massive poo at 10 the last few mornings and I don't know if the swimming nappy would hold it?!

Any advice welcome :)

Well, you might find she has a longer nap after the swimming.

Also, at 9 weeks old, she shouldn't be in the water for too long so probably would be back in a proper nay by Poo O'clock :o Double swim nappies are always a good idea though - a disposable one with a reusable one on top.

proper nappy. Not "nay".

Yes I'd go for it! With my 2, they would settle into their own routine with regard naps etc, but just as I was getting used to the routine it would change again. I wouldn't get too hemmed in by routines at this age - enjoy their portability and flexibility while you can!

Any chance you could try and encourage the routine towards a later nap?

Eg getting her up later (good luck with that!) or more chilled out less intensive play so she's less tired out?

I'd go along but be prepared to whisk her out and get her down for a nap if she's not looking like she's enjoying herself.
