We're off on holiday on Saturday and can take the ipad with us. Wondering what are a. The best apps to distract on a plane to ibiza that will.amuse ds but not piss off others too much? b.any other tips for the flight?

Ds will be on my/dh laps and flew last year at 6 mo no problems but I suspect this time might need more entertaining..

Mine wasn't too interested in the ipad at that age so we used a portable dvd player and peppa pig for plane journeys, which I highly recommend. He wouldn't wear headphones but the chairs absorb most of the sound.

Apps he loves now are peekaboo barn (paid for but worth it), which we've had since he was tiny, and puzzle apps, but might be a bit too fiddly for your ds age? Musical hands is very good, again small fee but lovely app.

Good luck!

Highly recommend the Duplo apps and they're free. I also suggest picking up a small etch a sketch type toy - the ones with the pen attached. My DS loves that when we travel.

Duplo apps are fab.

At that age my DS also loved a lot of the fisher price apps (which I think were free but not 100% sure) and Ladybird Happy Babies which was paid for but worth it.

Ps tips for the plane are to get DS to sleep if at all possible.

It's always been my strategy and through many flights until he was 2 it worked. Now it's the IPad all the way!

Change bum as soon as you are boarded will also kill time stuck in your seat.

Hope it goes well x

Disney Junior Appisodes. When we downloaded it came with a free Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Appisode, is an interactive episode of the cartoon, DD loves it!

Anything by Fox and Sheep (Nighty Night and Little Fox Music Box plus all the animal ones good), Rainbow Pad, Peppa Pig stories.

DS will be entertained for hours by them.

Tiny Hands apps are great - paid for ones, but they have free 'trial' parts too. Nice graphics, not too loud music/sounds for use on the plane. Also, agree the Duplo apps are really good (and free)!
