Dealing with teething.

I have a 4.5 month old baby who I think may be teething - though he may be too young for this?

He's been drooling for weeks but over the last 10 days in particular he's been munching on my DH's finger, occasionally flushed cheeks and been really fussy with his feeding.

Over the last 2-3 nights his sleep has really disorientated too, he is waking every 2.5 hours and only settles following a short feed.

We have been giving calpol and neurofen but nothing is making much difference. DH has gone out to buy one of those teething rings that go in the fridge.

Does it sound like teething to you? And have you found any successful way of dealing with it or is it just a case if riding it out? Though I assume it can last months??

Sounds like teething, he's certainly not too young but the teeth might not actually come through for months. Can't really recomend much except teething gel, sophie the giraffe and, if he hasn't really reached the stage where he can put teethers into his own mouth, one of those raspberry teethers that are like dummies.
Just wanted to mention though, the sleeping might not be related - it might be a 4-month sleep regression. Kicked in with us at that age.
