Grobag sizes - argh!

Is it just me, or are the 6-18 months grobags huge? My DD's 11 months corrected but is still in 0-6 months grobags! The 6-18 month ones still seem a bit wide around the neck, in that they could just about cover her mouth and nose if she wriggled down into them. The 0-6 months ones are getting a bit short in the body, although the neck still fits ok. My DD's smallish for her corrected age but not tiny (around 20th centile). I can't face switching to blankets, as I love sleeping bags.

What would you do? Had anyone else had the same problem?

Have they got 2 poppers under each arm, to ensure a snug fit?

TheCityAndTheCity · 12/08/2014 10:18

No, only the 0-6 months seem to have the underarm poppers, annoyingly!

TK Maxx do loads of gro- bags, but you probably dont want to buy a load more,

How about leaving the foot end open on her small ones? Depending on which way it zips.

Other brands can be a bit different. My 15m 98th centile dd is only just out of the 0-2 size of her Merino Kids bags.

Thanks to both of you - yes, I guess I should probably go round the shops and try some different brands on DD!

When dd was younger I preferred the fit of the asda sleeping bags because the neck line seemed s bit narrower so she couldn't shuffle down in to it.

I bought my grobags in tk Maxx - she was pretty dinky and was in the 0-6 month for good while longer than 6 months - in fact she only went in them at 6 months.

They come in different styles - poppers on shoulders, zipper up the front - so try shopping about

Could you add some Velcro or something to the ones you have to make the neck snugger?
