never understood how people dress babies on their laps tbh.

  1. Lie snowsuit on floor, unzipped.

  2. Put baby on snowsuit.

  3. Zip up. Voila!

daisy1999 · 18/09/2006 09:42

I always laid snowsuit on floor, put babies legs in first, then arms, zip up bobs you uncle. (took me hours of sweating with baby before I discovered this )

same as putting a babygro/sleepsuit on, only easier because no poppers to match. Imho.

That made me laugh and takes me back. Sorry I cant answer though. Note to self: always have summer babies.

do you live in England?

JackieNo · 18/09/2006 12:44

I think you just have to keep doing it and practice makes perfect - a bit like putting nappies on, you're all confused to begin with, but after a few it all starts to become simpler.

Are you still trying to get your child into a snowsuit? Two things spring to mind, firstly, it's summer so probably not the best outfit and, secondly, they've probably outgrown the ones you were trying to get them into in May. Maybe buy them something else that fits?

ROFL willow

Post asking us to e-mail video of putting child in a snowsuit. That's right, I'm in the habit of sending complete strangers video footage of my child, as I'm sure we all are. Right, just going to hop back under my bridge.

CarolinaMoon · 18/09/2006 13:56

how very weird.

willow2 · 18/09/2006 16:28

What you need is a shoehorn and some WD40

kitbit · 20/09/2006 20:58
  1. lay snowsuit out on floor, and bounce baby on knee while smiling in happy, jolly, perfect motherdom kind of way
  2. tip baby backwards in preparation for insertion
  3. bring baby back to vertical sharpish, go and get earplugs
  4. repeat 1. and 2., lay baby on top of snowsuit and take hold of right ankle
  5. retrieve snowsuit from under sofa, un-velcro baby's nappy fastenings from rug and rearrange nappy to undo major wedgie
  6. have large gin and tonic
  7. repeat steps 1, 2 and 4, taking gently hold of baby's ankle
  8. wipe milky sickup out of hair and finish winding baby
  9. give the snowsuit to the cat to sleep on and go and buy a buggysnuggle on tinterweb
