Is my fish pie the culprit?

DS was sick everywhere twice last night and boffed up most of his tea - my fish pie. I made it last weekend, he had a portion then and was fine. I froze the rest and he had a portion yesterday and was horribly sick. He's hardly eaten anything today, is sleeping lots and is a bit warmer than usual.

Should I chuck out what's left of the fish pie? or does it sound like a bug? I don't want to throw out perfectly good food but then I also don't want to risk making DS ill again obviously!

I would say it's likely a bug BUT I would chuck the pie just in case. Sorry.

Was there anything in it he hadn't had before?

Sounds more like a bug to me. If he was fine before, an you froze it immediately.

Psychologically he might be off fish pie for a while though?

LackingCommonSense · 10/08/2014 12:16

Nope. It's a recipe I've made before and he loves it!

I think I'm inclined to agree tbh. I don't think I could give it to him again now anyway!

Stock pile bleach, hot wash bedding, hand gel hand gel hand gel, and pray you don't get it too :(

Hope your Ds feels better soon

Was he the only one to eat it?

LackingCommonSense · 10/08/2014 12:50

Yep.. it's part of a batch I made for him

I think I'd taste one and see if it tastes ok, smells ok etc. Not necessarily swallow though!

LackingCommonSense · 10/08/2014 16:29

I'm sure I had a bit when I was feeding him!

I think I'm going to have to chuck it aren't I?

How old is he? My ds ate eggs when he was 18months and then was sick and didn't eat eggs again for about 6 years, he believed eggs = sick, it is more likely a bug but he may not face eating fish pie again!!

LackingCommonSense · 10/08/2014 19:22

He's 13mo. I've decided DH should have fish pie for work one day this week to test it Grin although I have a funny feeling you may be right and DS won't be going near it for a while!

Good idea! test it on Dh. If all OK, Dh can eat it if Ds goes off it. If not OK. BIN!!
