13 month old fussy eater

My DD used to be such a good eater but just recently she's become a nightmare. She's been eating bits then dropping it on the floor or even taking the food out of her mouth and dropping it. She's wanting to feed herself more which I'm encouraging but even when she's doing it herself and i'm "helping" she's still dropping food or just shaking her head and refusing it. Any ideas on what I can do as at meal times she's not eating much. She will eat a full pouch of fruit if I give it to her or a biscuit. Thanks

At this age its pretty normal to go through a fussy stage, so try to relax and don't worry. If she's dropping food onto the floor its fair to assume she's not hungry, clear away and do something else.

When you say you are helping her to eat, in what way? Smile

If you search the MN archive there will be lots of threads on fussy eaters too.
