I have been in touch with the University I hope to study at WRT whether they will accept me doing an access course or whether I need A levels. they want me to email a brief CV as well as the specifics of the Access course I would be doing. the last time I did a CV was in high school so I have no recent experience of what is expected and what should be included in one that is for a university rather than a prospective employer.

in a nutshell I left school after GCSEs, did an NVQ level 2 and then worked in a bank for 6 years before leaving to be a SAHM 4 years ago.

what do they expect to see on my CV?

  • general info (dob, address, contact etc)
  • work (the position, company and time there)
  • qualifications (so the nvq name, level, where you did it and when)
  • your school, the dates, the gcse's you got and the grades
  • tiny bit about your personal hobbies (reading/walking/photography/etc)

It should fit on one page :)
