My 2.75 yo DD is being incredibly challenging at the moment. Won't listen to anything I say and seems to be regressing to babyhood. She's been toilet trained for a while and is now refusing to tell us she needs the loo. She's also incredibly clingy, loud and whiny. I'm 34 weeks pregnant, knackered and increasingly short tempered. Please help me find a grip and a way to deal with her that doesn't end with me shouting!

That's entirely normal. She's getting a sibling and is scared if the coming changes. Have you read the usual house inside my mummy or how to be big sister type books with her? Reassure her that she's going to become a big sister rather than you having a new baby.

Do as much as you can with her, play board games (orchard games are fab), swimming, park etc.

Remind yourself a lot that if it was your DH announcing he was moving in a second wife, you'd be pretty miffed and unsettled too.

Good luck OP, it's v v hard being pg with a toddler.

Thank you! She's constantly telling me that she's a baby, so I think you may well be right. I've got "house inside my mummy" but not the other one so shall look into that one!
