DS1(now 10) came home from nursery doing this! I almost cried it was so cute! Tried teaching my 2yo but he's not quite got it mastered yet!

I watched the video, maybe it's because it was on my phone but I couldn't figure out the starting position of the coat to make it work?

My dd (4) showed me this too!!! There's also a 'hood' method too!
Clever!!!!

lighteningmcmama you lay the coat down opened out so you can see the inside of it and you are standing on the hood end of the coat. Hope this explains it

Not a big fan of parents putting their kids on YouTube like this-but that aside the hints are pretty cool, and I will definitely be getting a box for painting in!! :o

I think she looks like she loves being on you tube. very handy hints indeed.

There's really no need for it, if they are taught how, they can put a coat on normally before they're two.

If you start this, you need to realise, they have NO concept of not doing it anywhere, anytime - filthy floors, muddy field... anywhere Grin.

Love the idea that my 3yo might save some crisps for later... there's a thought!

lighteningmcmama · 08/08/2014 15:45

Cafeaulait please give me the secret for how to teach my 4yo and 2yo to put on their coat properly the normal way? I'll give any methods try that will speed up the mornings!
