Do I need to wash more often in hot weather?

We use cloth part time - only during the day, and not at nursery. So in the first part of the week, not many nappies are used.

The last few washes I have had to rewash at 90 because they stink of ammonia. The one I did today I threw a towel in as well, and the towel smells too!

Is my machine making the nappies dirtier than when I started or are they cooking in the heat?

How much powder are you using? To be honest I think it's a load of tosh using 'half the recommended amount'.

Our wash routine (every 2/3days)

Cold quick wash
40 super wash with a full dose of powder
Cold quick wash.

Never had any stinks.

I prob use more than half the recommended amount, I struggle with not using much powder on a machine full of poo!

I use a programme with a prewash at the moment, I will try your routine and see if it works better. Thanks Smile
