Are they all uncomfortable looking for newborns or just mine?!

I've always thought that and still do now he's 17 weeks old. Sure he must be ok in it but it doesn't look the most comfortable!

They never look comfortable because newborns aren't designed to sit up I imagine.

They will soon grow into it, do you have head hugger/body support insert in? I found the Maxi Cosi Cabriofix wedge thing made DD look hunched up but a generic head support kept her in a better position.

I don't know, I think mine looks fairly comfortable?

As long as its safe. Just try to only have him in it in the car and laid flat in carrycot or pram the rest of the time.
