I know, sorry, I really shouldn't use that acronym, but Adult Social Services awarded me 10 hrs/week of DP 3 years ago, and they're coming to review next week. Things were so atrocious in the house before they awarded it, that I'm really worried they'll take it away - I've heard of people in the area who're completely blind, with no family to care for them, having all their DP's taken away. I'm lucky enough to have a husband, four children, 2 with autism, and my condition is manageable at the moment (to the extent where I can get out of bed and do the school run with my husband - I can't do it on my own though!)
I'm absolutely bricking it. PLEASE someone tell me they've managed to hold onto theirs?

Have you been reviewed before? Is your social worker coming with a direct payments advisor? I am a social worker and did extra training as a DP advisor so more than happy to for to PM me.

I hadn't had a review before, which was quite surprising as I hadn't had one for about 18 months when I first started getting them. But thankfully, it was all fine. He rang later in the day to say I hadn't lost anything, so that's a big relief! Thanks for the offer though!
