I have been a mum for 2.5 years and have 2 dc. The youngest is 15months.
I am so fed up of the same day over and over again, toddler behaviour, peppa bloody pig, my youngest putting everything in it mouth, rushing around doing housework, piles of laundry everywhere, dc's not eating proper food and constantly whining for chocolate or ice cream. Tidying up after them, my brain turning into mush, never being alone, whining, peppa bloody pig. ds pulling off the books on the shelfs. Never having a night out, (no baby sitters available) Battles over nappy changing.etc etc etc.

I would love a part time job so I can be me for a while and not mum/wife but I have nobody to help look after dc's and it's so expensive.

Just wanted to get it off my chest. What is everybody elses coping strategies?

thanks

It sounds like if you could find a job where childcare would allow you to break even financially it would be worth it and make you a happier, better mum. You'll be eligible for free childcare places in not to distant future, could you get a job soon and then the free places would be a bonus?

Oh I know they can be dull can't they.
When your eldest turns 3 you will be entered to 15 hours free childcare.
My eldest started at the local preschool the term after her 3rd birthday and it's made a big difference. She does 4 mornings a week and it adds some structure and routine to our days.
Once DS (15months) is having his morning nap I get some me time (although usually spend it cleaning but I'll take all the time on my own I can get!)
There is light at the end at the tunnel and I am the same I'm always checking out job websites.
