From a bottle to a cup?

My DD turned 1 last week and iv read that a 1yr old shouldn't be having bottles anymore, they should be using a cup. She only has a bottle for her morning and evening milk, her water/juice is in a nuby soft spout handled cup. Do I need to get her a cup for her milk too? What kind of cup would be best?

I used a sippy cup in the day and still let mine have a bottle at bedtime for comfort. I know there are concerns about teeth but as it was only once a day I felt ok with it.

Sorry probably not very helpful of me.

All of mine have used a bottle for comfort and seen as they didn't have a dummy I let them keep it for a heck of a lot longer than the recommended age. Ds was 2 1/2 when we finally managed to wean him off it.

Other half is a dentist so wanted dd off bottles asap. We just did it,.just before her first birthday gave her a tommee tippee little cup instead in the morning. She grizzled a bit then drank it. Evening one followed very soon after and.she didn't mind. Have a go sooner rather than later if you are keen to get rid of the bottle.
