So tomorrow is our only family day in the week and after a busy few weekends we have the chance to actually have a fun day out for just the three of us :) we are local to oxford with 2 and half year old very curious little boy so what can we do??? Any suggestions welcome, hoping you'll have some ideas for different things we've not done/thought of before. Have a car and willing to travel a little bit but would rather not be driving all day as I am 32 weeks pregnant! So hit me ladies :) xxx

Hmmm after busy weekends I'd stay home, potter in the garden , buy a disposal BBQ
Then go to a park & feed the ducks

Agree with above poster. Stay home and have a garden fun day. Buy super soakers. Fill paddling pool. Have a water fight. (You can just cool your pregnant feet down in the pool if you prefer!)

Find a see through plastic pot with a lid. Poke holes in lid. Go on a mini beast adventure round the garden.

The museums in oxford are good and often have stuff on at the weekend for kids. Can't do links, but there if you google oxford museums family there is a leaflet with all the stuff they offer - we've been to some fun stuff with dd, who is about the same age as your ds.

Sorry to clarify busy weekends have meant poor DS trailing round not having very much fun so would like to take him for a nice day out as our quick trips to the park to satisfy him have probably run their course! And unfortunately we don't have a garden to use!

Hhhm museums might be quite nice but have done them previously!

Thanks for replying though xxx

How about the Cotwold wildlife park? Loads of space to run around, a little train, and you get close to the animals

Outings my 3yr old likes:
Natural History Museum in Oxford
Millets Farm
Blenheim Palace and Park.
Abingdon Abbey Meadows
Playing in the woods at Shotover or the Earth Trust at Wittenham
Having lunch in a cafe and going to the park (this one is obviously endlessly variable depending on availability of parks or cafes)

Either haven't been at all or since having children:
Cogges Manor Farm
Port Meadow and paddle/swim at Binsey
Hinksey Lido

Oh and also we've been meaning to go to the Cotswold Wildlife Park for ages as its supposed to be good.

Cloggers farm is amazing now! They have had a huge refurb, and it is awesome!

Meant Cogges, not cloggers!
