2 year old and 7 mth old terrible coughs and colds 3 rd sleepless night any advice

2 year old has been checked by doc nothing requiring anti- bios just sore throat. She's now lost her voice and cough seems to be worse at night. The 7 month old has now got it lots of sneezing and coughing both have temps which spike here and there not all the time. Currently alternating between using calpol and neurofen. Just wondering if there is anything else I can do to help them get a peaceful nights sleep as well as me lol!,

If she's lost her voice I would go back to the the GP tbh. Have you tried steam? You could run a hot shower and take them into the room. Larval is good too.

Baby Vicks put thickly on the soles of their feet and socks on over the top before bed. An old wives tale but my sister swears by it for her little ones. Steam as well and if it's warm in their bedroom light bedding and leave a window open.

Have just applied the Vicks-fingers crossed- have rebooked gp- and will look out Larval. I would say since this year she's been on anti-bios at least 3times for chest inf /ear inf. is that average for a 2yr old she seems to pick up every sniff and cough going. Thanks for the advice btw :) hoping for a more peaceful night.
