I went to pick my younger dd from my mums house and parked the car in the street left dd9 in there until I came back. When I came back she was quite flustered, someone had walked past our car and had looked at her which got her scared. I saw the man he was drunk u could tell. She thought he was gonna take her. I've had a chat with her but she got quite upset wouldmt go to bed.
Just to clarify I was only went inside and picked my daughter up it wasn't even five min.
They have had an incident like this in school and I think it has made more paranoid.

Poor lass. Lots of cuddles and reassurance needed I think!

Aww your poor dd. Hope she was ok eventually last night?

Agree lots of cuddles and reassurance.

Perhaps talk about things she could do to feel extra safe?

E.g. She wouldn't unlock the car doors even if the person was telling her to.

If she ever felt really scared you could talk about her making lots of noise to attract the attention of adults who will help her and also to make the person nervous.
