can we have a thread sharing tips about where to find long sleeved schoolwear, giant shoes, extra long trousers etc?

I know my son s not the only tall boy in the world yet when i try to shop for him, he may as well be!

I struggle too. My 9 yr old dd is tall and skinny. It turns out that you can't be tall and skinny and have uniforms that fit. Skirts are a particular nightmare to find. We have no problem finding regular clothes yet retailers can't transfer this to school clothes. Shoe shopping fills me with fear I have to put it off aslong as possible in order to pyshc myself up.

Ooh yes!

DD is 7 but needs 9-10 dresses for the length, which are then enormous everywhere else. Tights are a nightmare.

we ahve just beenblazer shopping. my son has a 35 inch chest yet needed a 44 inch chest blazer in order to get the length!

I've got tall children as wear. Online, john lewis, next and m & s all do longer lengths, or skinny wrists. I've just bought some 32" 32 leg length school trousers for 14 year old from John lewis.

H&M do stock bigger clothes.
My son is now 12 but many of the kis ranges in M&S labelled up to 14 no longer fit.
It annoys me that NEXT do not stock above age 12, I do not want to have to order stuff in. In fact I do feel that if they stock clothes for adults and clothes for small children it is a bit annoying that clothes to fit children over about age 9 are only available to order - they do not want that market.
John Lewis (at Bluewater) stocks a fairly small supply of larger kids clothes - but I have not have much success there.

Surprisingly Tesco stock kids clothes up to age 14 and their jeans have been quite good, but DS is too big for them now.
Have found some good stuff in Matalan (not worth going out of your way for it but if it is local) - they frequently offer 20% off everything.
Have bought some stuff in men's wear here (yes men's wear before his 11th birthday).
I often hear people recommend Primark but i do not have personal experience.

Sorry my other post was about clothes in general.
Uniform M&S or John Lewis - click and collect is very convenient at both shops (collect in local Waitrose for JL).

M&S I have bought longer length dress for DD but still in size 2 years bigger than her actual age.

M&S School uniform sizes go up to much bigger than the casual clothes (which as I said are mostly too small for my 12 year old).
