Is there a Finnish speaker who could help me?

I have come across an extract from a poem a few times on different websites/blogs and can't get a decent translation using software - I have the gist but Google is, unsurprisingly, defeated by poetic expression.

Is there a Finnish speaker out there, who would be kind enough to translate these four lines for me? I should be really grateful.

Ei pieni puu vielä myrskystä tiedä,
ei pieni puu vielä myrskyä siedä.
Ole suojana pienelle suuri puu, (I have also seen it as olethan on some sites)
jotta pienellä juuret vahvistuu.

Thank you in advance to anyone who can help with this!

The little tree do not know about a storm yet,
the little tree do not resist(/endure /withstand/bear..) a storm yet.
May you (the big tree) be as a guard for the little tree,
so that little trees' roots will strengthen.

I am Donkey's other hemisphere friend and it was a bit beyond my Finnish. It is a very sweet poem.
