I can't believe I've only discovered this 3rd time round!

DS3 is 6 days old and we have been given a moses basket this time. With DS1 & DS2 we used a beautiful family crib which I slept in and my Dad. Of course the amazing thing about the moses basket is that when DS3 falls asleep in it downstairs in the evening, we can just carry it upstairs with him asleep in it, which means I can go to bed whenever I want. With my other two we would have to lift them ouy of the pram and carry them upstairs and put them in the crib. As you can imagine they always woke up and it then took forever to get them settled so I could go to bed. I honestly can't believe how stupid I was first and second time round and the hours of sleep I have missed in my life because of this! !

Is there anything you've learnt 2nd or 3rd time round that you wish you'd known before? !

That babies are different!
My third and fourth ones were a piece of cake compared to my first two!
[shush, the third and fourth were girls]. Not sure I can say that on mumsnet! And have never been sure if it was because they were girls they were easier or not.
Other parents I have spoken to swear blind that their boys were easier than girl babies.

Setting I have 3 boys, DS2 and 3 were a dream. DS1 not so much, but I put that down to him being my first .

With DS3, I discovered that babies under one/not walking seemed more comfortable in babygros/vests and a little knitted cardigan that the 'small man' outfits that the other two had worn

I had children all close together in age. Mine all spent the majority of their first two years in babygros!
