Moby wrap hurts my back. Am I wearing it wrong?

DS is 11 weeks old, and is currently taking the majority of his naps in the Moby, so is in it around 4 hours a day. I've followed the instructions, and wear him high and tight, but I still get terrible backache, just under my shoulder blades. Any ideas?

I use a kari me with 12lb dd and it doesn't hurt. Do you have any twists in the material? Is the fabric spread over your back or bunched together? Sorry I can't be more use, maybe have a look on YouTube.

Hmmm... that's a good point, maybe the material's not lying flat enough. Will try adjusting that, thanks!

If you can find a local sling library (google for one near you) then they will be able to give good advice, and also have some other types of slings you could try.

My guess would be it's twisted and / or too narrow at the back, and maybe not quite tight enough. Sometimes washing the wrap helps to tighten it up, so that might be worth a go.
