Confused about newborn clothing sizing!

Not sure if this is the right section to post in but after help with size of babygros. I bought lots of "up to 1 month" babygros which suit babies up to 9lbs which mine is so baby is on the upper limit of the size. However is the next size up 1-3 months because this by comparison is massive on my baby. What do I do?

they will soon fill the bigger size so I would just use the bigger ones unless you lo still fits in the smaller ones

I skipped newborn and used up to 1 month instead, then 0-3 as my baby was big. It's fine to start using when a bit big, roll up the arms etc, although you'll find different shops are different sizes.

Also don't worry about the weight/age like I did, you might find the 1 month still fits quite ok for a bupit to give your baby a chance to grow into 0-3

or buy asda baby grows they just stretch and stretch...my 7 month old is still in her first size ones Grin

Baby clothes sizes baffles me! Newborn from one shop was the right size for my DD (8lb 7 at birth), from another they drowned her and from another they were miles too small. At ffe and a half months she's now in a mix of 0-3 (next) 3-6 (asda) and 6-9 (m&co). shes almost 20lb, she's not exactly tiny!

That should say 5 and a half, not ffe!

Weight isn't necessarily the best guide. DD was 7lb 5oz, but when we put her in a newborn babygro and she stretched her legs out it was obviously not long enough.

I found Mothercare larger fitting, Sainsbury & Boots smaller & Asda in the middle.
