I know it's not hugely expensive but I'm a tightwad and can't believe how much more I use now ds2's come along! Any cheap ideas?

what do you need it for?

bobsmum · 07/09/2006 13:50

Do you use it for soaking nappies? If you've got a decent washing machine you shouldn't really need to use it - a wash at 60 degrees kilss off any nasties.

I don't soak any more for dd's nappies although I did for ds - waht a faff!. Now I dry pail with a splash of tea tree oil in the bottom of the bucket; rinse in the machine then wash at 60.

If it's not for nappies, then sorry for all the blurb

I don't need to soak them???? Why didn't I know this?!

My midwife told me she used vinegar - white I presume.

Should add it was diluted

alligator · 07/09/2006 13:59

I used Sainsburys basic vinegar in the rinse. Worked grand.

Sophiev73 · 07/09/2006 13:59

Imagine a bucket of malt vinegar.... could have got it really wrong!

Thanks folks - I think you may have liberated my back from carrying two buckets full of Napisan-ed water up the stairs every other day! My spine salutes you...
