Has anyone else noticed that the Aldi Mamia nappies have completely changed?

I bought our usual size three's and they are so much smaller than they used to be and the quality much poorer. I don't think they are the same nappy and shouldn't have the award logos on them.

Ah, have been wondering why DS nappy seems to have been almost falling off him these last few nights. We must be using the new ones too as they used to hold really well. Will try the next size up (I think they do a 6 now?) but it seems the shape around the waist is wrong and so the sides keep coming down, I'm not sure whether a bigger size will actually help.

I used them with dd1 and they were fab.

Picked some up fir dd 2 and they stunk of chemicals and gave her nappy rash.

They have definately changed.

We used sainsburys in the end. I recommend them

I am trying the next size up but not finding that it is helping with the size around the waist and legs so getting a lot of leakage.

I've not had any problems or noticed any changes. I probably should say that we only use them at night now though but haven't had any problems with leaks etc.
I brought lidl nappies last week (first time ever) it was a big mistake. They are really thin and wont hold one wee let a lone a nights worth.
Sainsburys are good too and they seem to be competing with good offers on them.

I'd noticed they don't last as long and seem really heavy really quickly! I'd put it down to dd drinking more water in the hot weather so yes! It must be the nappies. Size wise, I haven't noticed. Difference though, she's in size 4 which encompasses a big weight range though.

Going back to tesco nappies I think.

Sounds like we are having the same problem DynaR. Do the side tabs just fall down onto the legs but the sticky tabs stay in the middle so the nappy is all pulled down at the front? Such a shame as we've never had a problem with them before but at the moment he's leaking every night!

DynaR · 23/06/2014 09:47

Yes. I find that the sticky tabs aren't as good.

Aldi customer service contacted me and acknowledged that they are having issues with their suppliers for the Mamia nappies and that they are logging all feedback. No harm in contacting them if you want to feedback your views.
