Daddy rejection - help please

My 20 month old dd is going through a phase of rejecting my dh and I wondered if anyone has got any tips or advice about how to deal with this. She runs to me and says no no or cries when my husband goes near her. He is a good Dad very gentle and she has no reason to reject him other than toddlerdom.

My dh has fairly low self confidence and I can see that although he is trying to put a brave face on things it is hurting his feelings. I know that she will turn the tables and do it to me before long but any advice?

estobi my dd was like this with her dad, are u at sahm and is he at work regular hours?
she will come round my dd did and lvoes dad now.
she just was v attached to me and when her little bro came along (she was 22mths)this only strenghten her attachement to me.

I am at home with her and my dh regularly works from home. I am sure it is just a phase but I wish I could turn it around asap

could you go outwhile shes napping and then she kinda has to dela with him and maybe he could bribe her with a trip to playpark or something. it might take a few go's

I go away to university for one weekend a month and when I get back it is worse - that is probably a reason why she is so clingy and it is so obvious I hadn't really thought about it as this arrangement has been ongoing for 10 months! Fortunately I only have 3 more trips to go so that might help things. Thank you for your prompt - it sounds like it could be not so much of a Daddy rejection but that she doesn't want me to go - she is not like it when she goes to nursery but perhaps being with just Daddy is a sign that mummy is going. Who knows!

My dh is the fun one he takes her to the swings and sneaks her out in the car for a bag of chips when she should be getting ready for bed and she just loves it. However if he tries to cuddle her or sometimes if he even goes near her she goes mad . we all need our space I guess.
