Can anyone help me? I am sick to the back teeth of DD2 (5) chewing with her mouth open, and talking with her mouth full. I have to remind her more than once every time she eats. DD1 just naturally ate with her mouth closed from day one so I haven't had to teach this before. It has got to the point that I sat there and ate with my mouth open to give her an idea of what she looks like - she told me it looks disgusting and she didn't want to see - she understands that no one wants to watch her do that and she stops when asked, but then forgets in less than a minute and goes back to chewing like a cement mixer. I'm starting to snap at her about it, and its making mealtimes unpleasant. We eat as a family round the table as much as we can, and the TV is off, so no distractions. Any ideas?
