Ds 2.8 has been potty trained since July - do I put a nappy on him today or just deal with the mess? Not sure what to do....Help!

Ask him. He is old enough to understand that this is a temporary situation and very messy and uncomfortable, he must be feeling distressed about the lack of control and mess. Would he prefer to be dressed in easy to manage clothing and near the potty / loo all the time? I know my ds1 would have hated to have a nappy on in those circumstances, but every child is different. Lots of cuddles and reassurance and cheerful demeanor, even if you are going mad. Also, no solid food, just clear fluids for at least 24 hours. Dioralite from chemist if really bad. Good time to reinforce teaching about handwashing etc. Hope he's feeling better soon.

Try yakult also. Can help to ease the flow.

Same problem here with DD (Same age also). she is currently sat with nappy on, quite happily now as had a few accidents in pants yesterday which she hated..

I only hope that she won't go back to being unpotty trained after...

Horrible isn't it when they aren't well...

She was supposed to be going to her 1st trampolining lession this afternoon (been on the list for ages) and I had to tell her earlier that I think it best that we don't go....

Not happy at first, but listened to what I was saying (ie not a good idea to be jumping around with poorly tumnmy etc) and accepted it....

She has a couple of little accidents in nappy then asks to go to the toilet so it is working for us.....

Good luck.....
